about

This song was in high demand after I put my original adaptation on YouTube a few years ago. However, it was a poor-quality home recording. I have re-recorded it and given it a "make-over," giving these lyrics the justice they deserve, which were originally written in 1932 by Mary Elizabeth Frye. I felt it suited the overall theme of OTHERWORLD. Love and loss. Grief and desire. Pain and release.
I hope it is of comfort to you or someone you know who has lost a loved one.

lyrics

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep
When you waken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain

Gentle birds in circling flight
I am the soft star that shines at night
Oh do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die...

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
