Every heartbeat is holding on
And every breath I breathe won't let it go
You looked at me and that was all
Below the surface, you can’t see me fall
But you don't see me…
And it feels like a knife in the back of the door
You opened and closed it forevermore
And it feels like tonight is the edge of your sword
All the pages of this book are torn
The scroll is open, but the story’s over
The seal is broken
I’ve lost my composure
You said to me we would be for forever
And now I’ve fallen deeper than ever
But you don’t see me…
And it feels like a knife in the back of the door
You opened and closed it forevermore
And it feels like tonight is the edge of your sword
All the pages of this book are torn

I never thought I'd actually get to see Mortiis playing his old style live, but I did! Him and the line up of other bands that played that night make one of the best concerts I've ever seen! This album seems to add a new dimension to his older style somehow, which is quite a feat! Xenward

I already enjoyed the debut album (as ENKELINATION) a lot and the the second release is of the same quality. It presents absolutely catchy gothic metal with a beautiful and quite distinctive angelic voice and without rough edges. Anyway, the music might be soft compared to the normal stuff I listen to, but there is not one weak song on the album! If you like well-made female fronted metal á la Delain or Within Temptation this is a must have.
